Hassan Allam Utilities alongside Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and Infinity Power signed an agreement with Egypt’s New and Renewable Energy Authority to secure land to build a 10 GW capacity onshore wind farm in Egypt, set to be one of the largest in the world.
The signing was witnessed by the Egyptian Prime Minister, HE Moustafa Madbouly, HE Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, HE Dr Mohamed Shaker El-Markabi, Minister for Electricity and Renewable Energy, Hassan Allam, CEO of Hassan Allam Holding, Amr Allam, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Hassan Allam Holding, Dalia Wahba, CEO of Hassan Allam Utilities, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, and Nayer Fouad, Chief Executive Officer of Infinity Power.
The landmark wind project will produce 47,790 GWh of clean energy per year and reduce around 9% of Egypt’s annual carbon emissions by displacing 23.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. The wind farm will also help Egypt meet its strategic objective of sourcing 42% of its energy from renewables by 2030. The 10 GW plant will save the North African nation an estimated US$ 5 billion in natural gas costs a year.

This landmark transaction is a significant milestone in the evolution of Egypt’s debt capital market, particularly given its purpose to finance a greenfield mixed-use real estate project.
Bab Misr is a Mixed-Use Complex Project located in Mohandeseen. The project, developed by Hassan Allam Holding, spans 100,000 m² and includes 17 buildings dedicated to commercial, administrative, residential, medical, and garage spaces. It forms a key part of the development surrounding the Upper Egypt railway station, Egypt’s largest railway station.

Cairo, Egypt – 9th of Feb. 2025, Hassan Allam Holding is proud to announce the launch of Jinet Agriculture Corporation, a new subsidiary aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and sustainability in the region. As part of this initiative, Jinet Agriculture has acquired a substantial 14,100-feddan agricultural land plot in the West Minya extension area from the Egyptian Countryside Development Company “El Reef El Masry”.
The newly acquired land will be dedicated to cultivating a diverse array of crops to meet local market demands and enhance export opportunities. This project aligns with global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)by enhancing agricultural production, creating jobs, and supporting the national economy.

The Development of South Valley of Toshka Region

Saudi Tunneling Company for Contracting (STCC), a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Construction Saudi, has been awarded the micro-tunneling works for the waterline supplying the 3rd Ring Road in the Al Adl area of Makkah, Saudi Arabia, for the the National Water Company (NWC).
Our scope of work includes the installation of DN3000 mm reinforced concrete jacking sleeve pipes without liners, followed by the insertion of Ø2500 mm steel carrier pipes and grouting the annular space between the sleeve and carrier pipes.
This critical tunneling operation is part of the new water network, designed to enhance water supply infrastructure in Makkah while maintaining the highest standards of precision and sustainability. Hassan Allam Holding continues to deliver innovative solutions that support essential infrastructure and contribute to the development of key regions in Saudi Arabia.

Cairo, Egypt; 31 December 2024: ACWA Power, the world&#8217;s largest private water desalination company, leader in energy transition and first mover into green hydrogen, together with consortium partner HAU Energy, a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Utilities, have achieved the financial close for the 1.1GW Suez Wind Farm in Egypt, the largest single-contracted wind farm in the Middle East. The project will play an important role in supporting the Egyptian government in achieving its target of increasing the share of renewable energy in its electricity generation mix to 42% by 2040.
The project secured a USD 703.6 million senior debt facility from a consortium of banks including the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the African Development Bank (AFDB), the British International Investment Corporation, the German Investment Corporation, the OPEC Fund for International Development, and the Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP). The senior debt funded by EBRD included a B loan structure provided by Standard Chartered Bank and Arab Bank.
Located in the Gulf of Suez and the Gabal El-Zeit area, the Suez Wind Farm has an overall investment value of USD 1.2 billion. ACWA Power holds a 70% stake in the project, with HAU Energy owning the remaining 30%.
The project will contribute to eliminating 1.1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually and will be implemented in two phases with a capacity of 550MW for each phase, with a total of 138 turbines. The capacity of each turbine will reach about 8MW and a height of about 210 metres per turbine. The project is expected to achieve full commercial operations by Q2 2027.

ACWA Power has had a presence in Egypt since 2015, and currently has two other facilities in the country that are operational, including a 120MW solar PV project in Benban, and a 200MW solar PV facility in Kom Ombo. In 2023, the company was allocated 3,000 square kilometres of land west of Sohag for a 10GW wind project. ACWA Power is also exploring opportunities to develop a green hydrogen project in Egypt, with an initial planned capacity of 600,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually.

Cairo, Egypt – 18th December 2024: AD Ports Group (ADX: ADPORTS), a leading facilitator of global trade, logistics and industry, today appointed Hassan Allam Construction, Hassan Allam Holding’s flagship subsidiary and one of the leading contractors in Egypt and the MENA region, to build the infrastructure of Noatum Ports &#8211; Safaga Terminal on Egypt’s Red Sea coast, which will be the first internationally operated port terminal in Upper Egypt region.

The terminal’s area will encompass approximately 810,000 square metres, with 450,000 TEUs container capacity, 5 million tonnes dry bulk and general cargo capacity, 1 million tonnes liquid bulk capacity, Ro-Ro facilities with 50,000 CEUs capacity, as well as common areas. The multiple facilities will include administration buildings, workshops, warehouses, and authority buildings, along with extensive infrastructure development including roads, utilities and security systems.

The project will feature a 48,000 square metre concrete apron, an 80,354 square metre container terminal with supporting infrastructure, and approximately 66,360 square metres for general cargo and break-bulk operations.

The terminal is part of approximately USD 349 million in investments made by the Group in Egypt over the last three years, which includes the purchases of maritime companies Transmar, TCI and Safina, the planned construction of a Ro-Ro terminal in Ain Sokhna, and long-term concessions to develop and operate cruise terminals in Safaga, Hurghada, Ain Sokhna and Sharm El-Sheikh.

The UAE is Egypt’s second-largest trading partner and its biggest international investor, according to the Egyptian Commercial Service (ECS), with USD 9.6 billion invested in the country in 2023. The UAE had a trade volume of AED 25.2 billion (USD 6.9 billion) with Egypt in 2023, according to the UAE Ministry of Economy.

The agreements include two Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for the construction of solar projects with a combined capacity of 1.2G gigawatts (GW) and 720 MWh (megawatt hours) Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), marking a major milestone in Egypt’s clean energy development.
The projects include a 900MW solar plant with BESS in Wahat, and a 300MW solar plant with BESS to be located in Benban. Once operational, these plants are expected to play a critical role in reducing carbon emissions, supporting Egypt’s sustainability ambitions, and increasing the supply of clean energy in Egypt.
It will also be the first development to come on stream in the broader strategic partnership between Hassan Allam Utilities, Masdar, and Infinity Power, which is looking to develop close to 11 GW of renewable power generation capacity in Egypt.

This highly anticipated transport system is designed to be both a sustainable and efficient solution, contributing to KAFD’s vision of creating a smart, connected city with eco-friendly mobility by reducing reliance on private vehicles.
The monorail spans 3.6 kilometers and features a driverless autopilot operation, setting new standards in safety and efficiency. The sleek, elevated system will consist of six trains, traveling along a circular track with six stations strategically placed across the district to connect key areas, encompassing office buildings, retail spaces, and leisure facilities. The monorail also offers seamless connectivity by integrating with the Riyadh Metro, making transfers smooth with enhanced accessibility throughout the city. Its design aligns with KAFD’s vision of a &#8220;10-Minute City&#8221;.

Saudi Tunneling Company for Contracting, a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Construction Saudi, has been awarded the construction of 400mm pipelines around Abhur Bay, Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Street, and North of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah City for the National Water Company (NWC), alongside the main contractor Al-Enjaz Trading and Contracting Company.
Our scope of work includes the micro-tunneling installation of DN600&amp;800 mm reinforced concrete jacking pipes then insertion of DN400 mm ductile iron pipes, along with the construction of 4 shafts using the secant piles method.
This project will significantly contribute to the expansion and improvement of the water distribution infrastructure in Jeddah, ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply to the city&#8217;s residents.
