Hassan Allam Utilities alongside Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company) and Infinity Power signed an agreement with Egypt’s New and Renewable Energy Authority to secure land to build a 10 GW capacity onshore wind farm in Egypt, set to be one of the largest in the world.
The signing was witnessed by the Egyptian Prime Minister, HE Moustafa Madbouly, HE Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, HE Dr Mohamed Shaker El-Markabi, Minister for Electricity and Renewable Energy, Hassan Allam, CEO of Hassan Allam Holding, Amr Allam, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Hassan Allam Holding, Dalia Wahba, CEO of Hassan Allam Utilities, Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, Chief Executive Officer of Masdar, and Nayer Fouad, Chief Executive Officer of Infinity Power.
The landmark wind project will produce 47,790 GWh of clean energy per year and reduce around 9% of Egypt’s annual carbon emissions by displacing 23.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. The wind farm will also help Egypt meet its strategic objective of sourcing 42% of its energy from renewables by 2030. The 10 GW plant will save the North African nation an estimated US$ 5 billion in natural gas costs a year.

Limited and CRRC Nanjing Puzhen Co. Ltd, alongside Hassan Allam Construction Saudi, to launch its groundbreaking monorail, a key initiative that is set to redefine urban mobility and improve pedestrian movement within the district. This highly anticipated transport system is designed to be both a sustainable and efficient solution, contributing to KAFD’s vision of creating a smart, connected city with eco-friendly mobility by reducing reliance on private vehicles.
The monorail spans 3.6 kilometers and features a driverless autopilot operation, setting new standards in safety and efficiency. The sleek, elevated system will consist of six trains, traveling along a circular track with six stations strategically placed across the district to connect key areas, encompassing office buildings, retail spaces, and leisure facilities. The monorail also offers seamless connectivity by integrating with the Riyadh Metro, making transfers smooth with enhanced accessibility throughout the city. Its design aligns with KAFD’s vision of a &#8220;10-Minute City&#8221;.
Located in the heart of the Saudi capital, Riyadh, KAFD is a transformative mixed-use development that merges the worlds of business and lifestyle and sets new benchmarks in urban living, smart city technologies, and sustainable development, designed to transform how urban communities live, work, and play. This train station serves passengers traveling from upper Egypt’s cities to Cairo and Alexandria, and is almost 4 times the size of Cairo’s historic Misr Central Train Station, covering approximately 240,000 square meters.
Bashteel Train Station features six platforms towards Sudan Street and four platforms for the Al-Manashy line, and one cargo platform, along with major train maintenance and repair workshops. Saudi Tunneling Company for Contracting, a subsidiary of Hassan Allam Construction Saudi, has been awarded the construction of 400mm pipelines around Abhur Bay, Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Street, and North of King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah City for the National Water Company (NWC), alongside the main contractor Al-Enjaz Trading and Contracting Company.
Our scope of work includes the micro-tunneling installation of DN600&amp;800 mm reinforced concrete jacking pipes then insertion of DN400 mm ductile iron pipes, along with the construction of 4 shafts using the secant piles method.
This project will significantly contribute to the expansion and improvement of the water distribution infrastructure in Jeddah, ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply to the city&#8217;s residents.

bp has entered into a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) to join the existing consortium comprising of Masdar, Hassan Allam Utilities and Infinity Power to explore the potential development of a multi-phase green hydrogen (gH2) project in Egypt.

Under the JDA, bp will act as the main developer and operator of the project on behalf of the consortium. The partners are combining their respective gH2 projects in Egypt and will also explore the potential for a single large-scale, multi-phase project for the development of gH2 and its derivatives, with a focus on exports.

The newly formed consortium has signed a Framework Agreement (FWA) with the Egyptian government to start carrying out a set of studies and activities to evaluate the technical and commercial feasibility of the project.

The plant secured four GWR global records including the world&#8217;s largest water treatment facility, the most capacious and operationally robust water treatment plant, the largest area for epoxy coating in structures, and the biggest sludge treatment plant globally.

The plant has a remarkable production capacity of 7.5 million m3/day of agricultural drainage water which plays a crucial role in the reclamation and development of 2 million acres in the western Delta region. Spanning an expansive area exceeding 320,000m2, the plant operates at an impressive capacity of 86.8 m3/second and boasts a substantial sludge treatment capability of 670.01 kg/s. This project stands as one of the most significant sustainability initiatives worldwide, incorporating state-of-the-art sustainable technologies and solutions. Completed within a record-setting time of 24 months, the plant serves as a pivotal component of Egypt&#8217;s national water resources plan, aiming to ensure water security for the country and foster prosperity and sustainability for future generations.

This Axis connects Luxor’s Eastern and Western Desert Roads, passing across the Eastern Agricultural Road, to the Western Agricultural Road, and the Nile River. The project includes one main bridge crossing the Nile river and 10 other bridges crossing road intersections with a total length of 3.4 km; connected by 18 km road networks.
The axis is aimed at supporting tourism as it serves as a gateway to Luxor&#8217;s treasures, seamlessly connecting iconic sites like the Temple of Luxor and Karnak in the East to Hatshepsut and the Valley of the Kings in the West. Its completion reduces travel times and alleviates congestion, fostering comprehensive development in Upper Egypt, aimed at benefiting the local population.

Cairo, Egypt, May 15, 2024: Infinity Power, the largest African renewable energy developer, along with Hassan Allam Utilities, a sustainable infrastructure focused development and investment platform, and the UAE&#8217;s flagship renewable energy company, Masdar, one of the world’s leading clean energy companies, have today signed a Land Access Agreement with the Egyptian Government for the consortium’s 10GW capacity onshore wind farm in Egypt, set to be one of the largest in the world, with a project value exceeding US$10 billion.
The agreement gives the Consortium access to a 3025 km2 area of land located in West Suhag, and will allow the consortium to conduct the necessary development studies to progress the project. This will include resource measurement campaigns, geotechnical and topographic surveys, in addition to the environmental studies to ensure minimal environmental impact.
These studies represent an important step forward in the project development, and the findings will be vital in progressing towards construction. Once under construction the wind farm will deliver significant benefits to local communities, including job creation with commitments to hire locally, community support initiatives, and the protection and support of the natural environment.
The landmark wind project will produce 47,790 GWh of clean energy per year and cut around 9 percent of Egypt’s annual carbon emissions by displacing 23.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.  The wind farm will also help Egypt meet its strategic objective of sourcing 42 percent of its energy from renewables by 2030. The 10 GW wind farm will save the country an estimated US$5 billion in natural gas costs per year.
Witnessed by the Prime Minister of Egypt, HE Moustafa Madbouly and HE Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy of Egypt, the agreement was signed by Mohamed Ismail Mansour, Chairman, Infinity Power, Karim Hefzy, Chief Operating Officer at Hassan Allam Utilities and Dr. Mohamed Asaad Taher, Senior Manager, Business Development and Investment at Masdar.

Siemens Mobility, together with its consortium partner Hassan Allam Construction, is honored to announce that it has been awarded the Abu Dhabi – Sohar Design and Build Railway Systems and Integration contract by Oman – Etihad Rail, a joint venture co-owned by the two countries to deliver this network. Siemens Mobility and Hassan Allam Construction will deliver the design, build and integration of the ETCS Level 2 signaling, telecom and power supply systems over the 303-kilometer-long Abu Dhabi – Sohar railway link. The signaling solutions are state-of-the art and desert-proof. This project marks the first-ever cross-country railway network in the Middle East and Arab world.

As part of a vision to connect the different GCC nations through a Rail Network, the project connects to and shall be fully integrated into the current and proposed Regional GCC railway network. The UAE &#8211; Oman Railway network (Hafeet Rail) will connect the port of Sohar in the Sultanate of Oman to the UAE National Railway network at Abu Dhabi, a network which connects all the seven emirates of the UAE up to the border of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Through this historic project, both countries aim to ease the practice of cross-border trade and raise the efficiency of the supply chain system by linking commercial ports and economic zones to the railway network and enhancing commercial and social connectivity between the two countries. The project also aims to link industrial hubs between the two nations and enhance the effectiveness of logistical services, as well as the expansion of different industrial sectors, economic activity, and tourism.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development <a href="https://www.ebrd.com/home">(EBRD)</a>, in collaboration with <a href="https://www.meridiam.com/about-us/">Meridiam</a> and Hassan Allam Utilities (HAU), are raising capital in HAU Energy BV, a new platform established to invest in renewable energy projects primarily in Egypt and potentially other countries in Africa.
The investment will promote private sector participation in the Egyptian power sector. It will also facilitate the government’s decarbonisation plans by expediting the roll-out of renewable energy projects and contribute to Egypt’s green energy transition.
This endeavor stands as a cornerstone project under the 10 GW renewables programme of Egypt’s EBRD-led energy pillar of the Nexus on Water, Food and Energy (NWFE) initiative. Launched at COP27 in 2022, this initiative signifies a pivotal commitment towards sustainable policy engagement, strategically crafted to align with the aspirations of the government of Egypt. All the projects will follow strict and best environmental and social practices, building on the partners’ recognised experience and expertise in this area.
