Hassan Allam Holding is proud to announce that its subsidiary, Hassan Allam Construction, in joint venture with Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd., has been awarded the construction of the USD 570 million West Minya Solar Plant, developed by Hassan Allam Utilities’ Energy Platform.

Developed in partnership with EBRD, Meridiam, and Infinity Power Holding, the project is a landmark renewable energy development that combines 1,000 MWac of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity with a 600 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). Hassan Allam Construction’s scope covers the full engineering, procurement, and construction, including grid connections and supporting systems.

This renewable energy project is pivotal to Egypt’s national energy strategy, helping achieve 42% of its energy mix from renewables by 2030 and 65% by 2040, while reinforcing the country’s position as a regional leader in clean energy.

This milestone reflects the strong confidence of international partners in Egypt’s energy program. Today, over 50% of Hassan Allam Utilities’ portfolio is represented by foreign investors, underscoring the Group’s key role in enabling global partners to collaborate alongside strong local champions in strategic sectors, while employing skilled Egyptian talent and facilitating industry knowledge transfer to local companies.
